"SMĒDE" is a small metal blacksmith workshop situated in the Turaida museum-reserve.
The forge blacksmith's work experience has been since 1992, but the forge has been working independently since 1998, offering to look at the hammered works by the blacksmith and getting into the blacksmith's everyday life, there is an opportunity to make memorabilia.

There is also a wide range of entertainment activities, such as for newly-weds, tourist groups, schoolchildren, to make the visit of the smith more attractive to every taste and to involve the forge visitors in interesting activities.
Certainly, the main activity of the forge is the production of decorative custom-made hammered works. Blacksmith Andris Ščeglovs offers his original ideas for making forgings - fences, gates, bars, balconies, handrails, chandeliers, lamps, fireplace items, garden interior, interior, candlesticks, souvenirs, flag holders, clothes hangers, etc. Sketching of the interior, iron elements, and drawing of different ideas is offered.
