The largest cave in the Baltic countries and also the oldest tourist attraction in Latvia. On the walls of the cave, there are inscriptions from the 17th century. The legend of the Rose of Turaida began in this cave.

This artificially carved cave in sandstone cliff is located next to the Gutman's Cave. The cave is 5.9 m long, 6.8 m wide, and 4.8 m high at the entrance.
Flea's cave is formed in Gauja grey-brown sandstone. The cave is a complex network of passages and deadlocks in the length of 55m with 14 various size pillars. In the depth of the cave, there is a spring, but the cave itself is dry.
Turaida's cave used to be called Dainu or Slakteru cave. It is a small hole in the rock, located in Turaida, on the right bank of the Gauja river under the Turaida castle, in the middle of the slope of the Turaida castle mound.
During the Soviet times, the Small cave was called the Revolutionary cave, because revolutionaries' leaflets (proclamations) of the 1930s were found in the cave. The length of the case is 14 m, the height at the entrance - 3,6 m.
Occasionally this cave can also be called an ice cave because during the winter half of the cave entrance is blocked by ice, which makes the cave similar to an ice cave.
