The historical and architectural object of regional importance. The building of Šveices iela 17 and 17b was once run by the famous opera singer Malvīne Vīgnere - Grīnberga, who in 1930 opened her own holiday home "boarding house - sanatorium".

The press of that time writes that the house is very well maintained and leaves a pleasant impression. The memory of Sigulda locals keeps the stories that the boarding house was favored, my musicians.
The boarding house was "all-inclusive" and locals could earn by selling berries to holidaymakers. In wintertime, Ms. Grīnberga presented her singing lessons, organized evenings with the participation of her students.
In 1935, the premises of Mrs. Grīnberga's building were rented by the Red Cross of Sigulda, they opened here the Child Health Care station. Malvīne Vīgnere – Grīnberga managed her house until 1943.
