
Active recreation in nature is especially topical now, and hiking is a great way to get to know the diverse nature of Latvia. Residents are being offered more and more opportunities to use the services of "hiker-friendly" companies, thus creating a feeling of "I am welcome here, I will be understood here".
In anticipation of spring, several service providers in Sigulda Region will receive a special sign “Hiker-friendly” - Sigulda County Tourism Information Centre at Ausekļa iela 6, Sigulda, County Tourism information Centre “Gūtmaņala”, Krimulda Manor and camping “Siguldas pludmale”. The sign “Hiker-friendly” is awarded within the project “Long-distance cross-border hiking route “Mežtaka ”.
The "Hiker-Friendly" sign shows that the entrepreneur understands and respects the needs of hikers by offering essential and necessary services, such as: route information, drinking water, first aid kit, charging electrical appliances, the ability to dry and wash dirty clothes, boots and other equipment.
