Small Devil's cave is located on the Piķene steep slope at the Gauja river bank - 1 km above Devil's cliffs. The total length of the cave is more than 10 m and the entrance of the cave is separated by a pillar.

The cave has been known since the late 19th century, but the name of the small Devil's cave was first mentioned only in the 1950s.

In 1977 archaeologist Juris Urtāns listed the cave in the list of cult caves. Near the Small Devil's cave the source of Wisdom flows out, in which, as legends tell, mothers have been washing children so they would grow wise.
